· April rides will start at 9am on Saturday; 6pm on Monday and Thursday
o April 2 – Blazing Saddle ride starting in Gladewater
o April 9 – start at East Texas Regional Airport on Hwy 322
o April 16 – start at Woolley G’s bike shop on Hwy 259
o April 23 – start at East Texas Regional Airport on Hwy 322
o April 30 – start at Lowe’s in Marshall; start time 8:30am
Club Business
· John Fitzpatrick Memorial bike ride will be held Sunday, April 17

o This ride is a fund raiser for Habit for Humanity
o Mike F. made a motion, Martha D. second motion, majority of club members present voted yes to make a sponsor donation of $200.00
· Mike F. made a motion, Martha D. second motion, club members present voted yes to donate $200 to Margaret’s House in memory of Lee McCord.
· Lee McCord Memorial ride will be held in May
Program Director Report
· Kelly C. ask group present at meeting where they would like to hold next club meeting.
o She made suggestions of McAlister’s Grill, Jason’s Deli, The Cook’s Nook.
o The members present decided to hold April meeting at The Cook’s Nook
Program Speaker
Speaker for the meeting was Chef David L.
· He owns and operates The Cook’s Nook.
· He gave a history on how he came to own The Cook’s Nook
o He has own and operated the store for 2 years

· He has catered in Longview for 7 years
· He is President of one of the Farmer’s Markets in Longview
o Market begins April 16
o Hours open are 8am-12 noon
· The Cook’s Nook has a small café in store
o Meals are cooked with all organic ingredients
o Chef David cooks only with foods that are in season
o Brunch is served Wednesday through Saturday 9am-3pm
